IT'S RAINING, IT'S POURING...

Hi Everyone, I know I haven't been on since July but, it's been one thing after another around here! You know how life can be just when you're feeling comfortable. To top it all off, now my batter charger that is less than a year old has decided to stop talking without warning!

I went to charge my camera battery so I could upload some new photos of what I've been working on and my charger is dead! I'm so upset about it. I took it back to Best Buy and they wouldn't help me. It's now packed in all of it's oringinal packaging looking brand new, well because it almost is, and there's noting I can do with it. I sent Kodak an email about it and I've not gone over to check my email yet to see if there's a response. I'm trying to give them enough time.

I purchased the Kodak charger kit which comes with the charger and every type of cord for charging you could ever need. I think it cost me about $50.00 or so! I mean, this kit has the plug for American outlets, European outlets, car outlets, etc. Anyway, I won't be able to load any more photos until I get another and that won't be for a while. I'm sure it's going to be after the new year! I'm so upset about this.

I've got some other health issues going on that my doctor recently informed me of that I've got to get a handle on very soon and my children who are not REALLY "kids" any more, have been a thorn or perhaps a tree trunk in my side for the past few months! LOL!

Well, just thought I'd pop over to leave a quick message. Hopefully, I'll see you all very soon!
Thanks for your support!

MY SUMMER WREATH!

Well, you may or may not know I've been away from my blog for some time now. I've been taking a much needed break while finishing up other projects, not all crafts, here at home. I won't be back on for a few weeks after this because I'll be traveling out of town. I just wanted to show you all how my summer wreath turned out! I've now completed all of the wreaths I need to carry me through an entire year! Yippee! One project scratched off my list of things to do! It's been hanging on my door since the beginning of summer so I didn't want you thinking I just finished it. Let me know what you think of it. As always, a big thanks for stopping by my by! Hope You're Having A Wonderful Summer!
Bethann aka PawwPadd

                                             My SUMMER Wreath!

                                             My SPRING Wreath!

                                                       My WINTER Wreath!
I added a sheet of black paper behind it just so you can see the word HOPE that hangs from it a bit better.
                                                       My FALL Wreath!
Thanks for looking and I will probably load each one of the others as they get hung on my front door. They'll probably look better. I really don't think these photos do them justice. I am very happy with the way they all turned out! Even more happy that I didn't have to pay the outrageous prices they charge for wreaths in the stores! These wreaths were made, pretty much, with left-overs from other projects, extra items left over from weddings and items other crafting friends of mine gave me. I piled it all in a closet until I was ready to work on them! I personally think they charge way too much for the wreaths they sell in the stores... all stores!
See ya later!

WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO!

I'm back again and here to show you what I've been up to while I've been gone! Hope you enjoy a glimpse into the other areas of MY craft world! Thanks for stopping by and hope you come again soon!
Bethann aka PawwPadd

I have had a goal of making myself a wreath for each season. This is the wreath I made for Spring. I know it looks kind of cock-eyed the way it's hanging, but it just not on the over-door-hook right and I shot it on an angle.
This is the wreath I made for fall and I wanted to add some more raffia / straw to it but... my friend told me to leave it alone! LOL!
This is the one I made for Winter. The HOPE is actually strung on soft wire I beaded with gold beads and it is attached to the wreath.

 Just black paper behind it.
I am not a photographer and I'm really beating myself up about it! I'm not satisfied with ANY of my photography and I really want to go to school to take classes but... Finances won't allow it right now.
I hope you can get a good idea about how all of my items look. The photos, in my opinion, just don't do ANY OF IT justice! I just really hate my lack photography skills!!!

I've tried it all and none of my props or shots are good. Sorry. Thanks again for stopping! Come On Back Now Ya Hear?!

BEEN AWAY, BUT NOW I'M HOPEFULLY BACK FOR A WHILE

Hi All, just a quick note to let you know I've been away for a couple reasons and one is illness, the other is family issues, but now I'm hopefully back for a while and I've got some photos to load soon of projects I've been working on. Hey, just because I've not been on blogging, it doesn't mean I've not been crafting! LOL! Have to have some kind of outlet right??? I'm also on Facebook in case any of your are on and would like to catch up with me or commune that way also. My ID is Bethann Mahoney-Archer. Well, my youngest Grandbaby's 1st Birthday is coming up and we are planning a big blow-out, fun, fun, fun party / cookout for her, family and friends! I'll have to let you know how it goes. We're hoping we have a good turn out! You know how any more, folks just don't like to RSVP    >:-(   Why is that??? I always do when it's required. Oh well, see you soon! Thanks for coming!

IF YOU ARE AN ANIMAL LOVER PLEASE...

WARNING! CONTENT MAY BE TOO GRAPHIC FOR YOU!
JUST CLICK ON MY TITLE ABOVE:

Please watch this video if you love animals! We must do something about this in our country! All animals have the right to a decent life if we are in their charge. GOD says, we are, as man, above all things flying, swimming, crawling, etc. but, HE does not say we have the right to abuse that position HE has given us!

I have been left in tears watching this video and then my tears turned to anger, anger toward our government for allowing these practices to go on as if they know nothing about it! These places need to be shut down immediately! These workers need to put themselves in the places of these poor defenseless animals and ask themselves if they'd want to be treated this way!

I must warn you again, that the contents of this video are very graphic but that's what gets the harsh reality across to those who are watching, eating, and taking these food sources for granted each and every day! If you have a weak stomach or a weak heart (seriously), you need not bother watching!

I am an animal advocate and cannot stand the sight of these practices!!! I will go forward to do something about this if I have to send several signatures to Washington against it! WHAT HAS THIS WORLD REDUCED US TO??? Make sure the farm your dinner was raised on didn't subject it to the cruel practices of so many farms and distribution centers out here! Just research it!!!

Thanks for your support! This video will remain up until Monday of next week!
IF THIS UPSETS YOU, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! IF MY POSTING THIS UPSETS YOU, PUT YOURSELF IN THE ANIMALS PLACES THAT APPEAR IN THIS VIDEO!

HERE'S THE LAST ONE!!!

Wow! We made it! Here's the last post of my Men's Cards! They are actually cards that I plan on donating to the Boy Scouts of America with one exception (you'll know it when you see it).  I've also got some Girl Scout cards I made the same way that I'll be donating. I'll load them before I do. I'm going to find a troop in our area, probably the troop number my oldest son belonged to. I'm hoping they'll use them.

I'm hoping also that you've had as much fun following my Men's Cards Posts as I had making them all! It's been a long journey full of surprises, mishaps and more! Thanks for coming along for the ride and please stay tuned for my next post... NOT FOR MEN!!! LOL!!! Any way, here they are.

Below is a list of expectations I had in mind when I started this project, so think about them as you view these cards.

A quick reminder of my goals for these cards:

  • Easily mailed / no extra postage - Postal Service gets enough as it is in my opinion!
  • Wide range of styles that reach out to the young men in our lives, the old or older, the tots, the ones who love jewelry, cuff links, rings, earrings (as so many of them wear now) etc. Basically those who love bling and those who don't!
  • To use items from my stash that have been long forgotten about! A Must!
  • To go back to what we did before the giant flowers, the fancy and not so fancy brads, the rhinestones, the glitter glues, the bulky embellishments etc.
  • To get you all motivated enough to set time aside for making men's cards BEFORE you need them!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll come back soon and often!
Bethann aka PawwPadd
PS. Many Thanks to all those who have been regulars of mine, leaving comments and just letting me know you care. You all know who you are (smile)!

My friend had this boyscout paper and didn't know what to do with it and was going to throw it out. I told her to give it to me and I cut it down for cards! I used scout images, some cut-outs and some stickers, on them and I decided to just donate them to a troop in my area! All of the cut out images have been popped up.

Exception!

NEXT TO LAST!

Well, hello everyone, this is the next to last post of men's cards that I have! I hope you enjoy looking them over. Please Leave me a comment telling me what you think.

The vine here is a sticker, the tree image is a cut-out, added a stamped sentiment with a gem stone in matching color.
Birds are stickers, ovals are punch-outs, stamped sentiment, cut angled paper for interest.
Silver sticker cross, sticker sentiment in lower corner (God Bless)
Vintage 50s car sticker that I matted with coordinating turquoise paper, stamped sentiment in upper corner, vellum sentiment over black card stock paper backed with same  turquoise, added metal brackets with very narrow strips of paper threaded through.
This card was made with olive green card stock, dark green paper underneath of all, narrow strip of olive above all with pin size punched holes for interest, owl sticker sits on a very nice paint chip I got from Lowes, that's on white cut card stock paper with stamped sentiment in matching color ink, used decorative scissor to edge the bottom of the card.
This is a very cool decorative paper that I added the sun and star stickers to, along with some mulberry paper in a matching color and a stamped sentiment.

Same paper as above with more mulberry paper in green and turquoise and FAITH sticker with stamped sentiment
These last three cards are from an earlier post, but I wanted to reload them into my men's post because after I looked at them prior to filing them away, I realized they were really lending themselves to being for men. If I were going to send these cards out to women, I would have to add some ribbon with a bow or something feminine. If you missed the other post I had these loaded in, I was simply trying out a technique that I'd been wanting to try. I loaded each color of the background separately on a brayer and blended them by rolling them close to each other. I had to make a mask of each so I would overlap them, otherwise my colors would have probably looked muddy or not blended the way I wanted them.

MEN'S CARDS

Hi All,

Hope you've been enjoying the men's cards I've been posting for the past few months (made over 500). I have a few more after this one so... Here We Go!

Below is a list of expectations I had in mind when I started this project, so think about them as you view these cards.

This card and the next 7 are all cut from the same decorative paper! This paper had so much going on within the graphics that I was sure I could cut it up and use it in pieces! Check em' out! Simply stamped a sentiment.
Again, a stamped sentiment. I did mat the decorative paper with a nice coordinating blue.
Stamped sentiment along with a popped up 3-D candle sticker.
This is the same paper, believe it or not, simply again, added a stamped sentiment, matted with blue on black card.
Here's the same paper, just a smaller piece, with a nice vintage look sticker, a Creative Memories black sticker strip and a stamped sentiment.
 Simply stamped a sentiment.
Stamped sentiment and added the boat Cut-Out, added some blue paper underneath on white card.
Same paper matted with nice blue paper underneath on white card with 1 coordinating blue gem.
I'm kind of sad about the way this plaid paper photographed. It's very pretty. It is very shimmery almost with a gold dust look over it! Added the Fresh Cuts cut-out with some vintage look stickers. Stamped sentiment in lower corner of Fresh Cut.
This image is simply a large punch-out I've had for a long time. Never got rid of it because I was sure I would use it some day...that day came years later! LOL! I did pop it up.
 Fresh Cut, matted stamped sentiment.
Fresh Cut with a vintage car sticker.
