NEXT TO LAST!

Well, hello everyone, this is the next to last post of men's cards that I have! I hope you enjoy looking them over. Please Leave me a comment telling me what you think.

Below is a list of expectations I had in mind when I started this project, so think about them as you view these cards.
  • Easily mailed / no extra postage - Postal Service gets enough as it is in my opinion!
  • Wide range of styles that reach out to the young men in our lives, the old or older, the tots, the ones who love jewelry, cuff links, rings, earrings (as so many of them wear now) etc. Basically those who love bling and those who don't!
  • To use items from my stash that have been long forgotten about! A Must!
  • To go back to what we did before the giant flowers, the fancy and not so fancy brads, the rhinestones, the glitter glues, the bulky embellishments etc.
  • To get you all motivated enough to set time aside for making men's cards BEFORE you need them!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll come back soon and often!

The vine here is a sticker, the tree image is a cut-out, added a stamped sentiment with a gem stone in matching color.
Birds are stickers, ovals are punch-outs, stamped sentiment, cut angled paper for interest.
Silver sticker cross, sticker sentiment in lower corner (God Bless)
Vintage 50s car sticker that I matted with coordinating turquoise paper, stamped sentiment in upper corner, vellum sentiment over black card stock paper backed with same  turquoise, added metal brackets with very narrow strips of paper threaded through.
This card was made with olive green card stock, dark green paper underneath of all, narrow strip of olive above all with pin size punched holes for interest, owl sticker sits on a very nice paint chip I got from Lowes, that's on white cut card stock paper with stamped sentiment in matching color ink, used decorative scissor to edge the bottom of the card.
This is a very cool decorative paper that I added the sun and star stickers to, along with some mulberry paper in a matching color and a stamped sentiment.

Same paper as above with more mulberry paper in green and turquoise and FAITH sticker with stamped sentiment
These last three cards are from an earlier post, but I wanted to reload them into my men's post because after I looked at them prior to filing them away, I realized they were really lending themselves to being for men. If I were going to send these cards out to women, I would have to add some ribbon with a bow or something feminine. If you missed the other post I had these loaded in, I was simply trying out a technique that I'd been wanting to try. I loaded each color of the background separately on a brayer and blended them by rolling them close to each other. I had to make a mask of each so I would overlap them, otherwise my colors would have probably looked muddy or not blended the way I wanted them.

MEN'S CARDS

Hi All,

Hope you've been enjoying the men's cards I've been posting for the past few months (made over 500). I have a few more after this one so... Here We Go!

Below is a list of expectations I had in mind when I started this project, so think about them as you view these cards.

This card and the next 7 are all cut from the same decorative paper! This paper had so much going on within the graphics that I was sure I could cut it up and use it in pieces! Check em' out! Simply stamped a sentiment.
Again, a stamped sentiment. I did mat the decorative paper with a nice coordinating blue.
Stamped sentiment along with a popped up 3-D candle sticker.
This is the same paper, believe it or not, simply again, added a stamped sentiment, matted with blue on black card.
Here's the same paper, just a smaller piece, with a nice vintage look sticker, a Creative Memories black sticker strip and a stamped sentiment.
 Simply stamped a sentiment.
Stamped sentiment and added the boat Cut-Out, added some blue paper underneath on white card.
Same paper matted with nice blue paper underneath on white card with 1 coordinating blue gem.
I'm kind of sad about the way this plaid paper photographed. It's very pretty. It is very shimmery almost with a gold dust look over it! Added the Fresh Cuts cut-out with some vintage look stickers. Stamped sentiment in lower corner of Fresh Cut.
This image is simply a large punch-out I've had for a long time. Never got rid of it because I was sure I would use it some day...that day came years later! LOL! I did pop it up.
 Fresh Cut, matted stamped sentiment.
Fresh Cut with a vintage car sticker.
