A STAMP'S SHELF LIFE!

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to get right to it! It's a very good thing that rubber stamps have a very long shelf life! The rubber stamps that I used to help create these cards are probably about 4, almost 5 years old. I've had them that long and have NEVER USED THEM!!! Is that bad or what? I actually ordered them off QVC during one of their craft specials. I just had to have them, "oh the possibilities" I said, "oh they are just gorgeous" I said, "they will make some REALLY nice cards" I said. Here we are almost 5 years later and I'm just now pulling them out. The cards are all very similar, but each one has a different picture behind the vellum which is why I decided to load them all. The one that says "enjoy" has a black faceted rhinestone instead of the smokey quartz. I'm not real happy with the way some of them stamped out but... I'll live with it for now. They are now out of my system and off my "cards to do list"! Hope you like what you see, let me know what you think. Thanks again for stopping by and stay tuned.

Materials used for all: black dye ink, white cardstock, regular vellum, black binding,
black 1/8 " ribbon, smokey quartz rhinestones, photos from a mini calendar,
large word clear mount rubber stamps, clear mount flourish design rubber stamp

  1. Hi Bethann,
Just thought I would stop by as I "cruise on down the hill" towards the StampScrapArt Convention. :) Well, I really just love what you have done with these stamps and pictures. Love it! As you well know I also have similar stamps in my arsenal. I feel fully motivated right now. Thanks for sharing such a great idea! Love you!

  4. Hi Bethan
Thanks for your kind comments on my blog! Thought I would pop on over and have a browse through your blog. Wow, what a creative soul you are! These cards are stunning, I love the sophisticated look of the black and white. I have to admit to having a few stamps in my collection that I just had to have, that I have yet to use.
